Crusty Unclassified Saharan
This is an
unclassified H chondrite, I say H chondrite because of it Magnetic suscability
is 5.14 It has very thick and unusual crust, which may mean it is an unusual
meteorite. You can see a chondrule that is nearly a cm in diameter. It is in the
first photo. This stone is about 55-60% crusted, It seems to be a fragment of an
oriented meteorite. It is uncut and has no windows in it. This is a very nice
specimen and would enhance any meteorite collection. This is one of my top three
meteorites in my collection, I am just hurting for money so I am forced to sell
it. I will let it go for only $2/g which is a steal. Crusted stones like this
coming from the Sahara now are going for even more than this and are not the
quality of this specimen. This one will not last very long.
