Don,
I have an oriented mesosiderite approx 300 grams with a nice green crystal sticking out of the crust. Like I said its oriented and complete so I probably will not cut it even though im extremely curious because of the crystal on the surface. I have to dig it up to post a picture.

Don, that is a very nice piece.

Rodrigo Martinez (Atacama Desert Meteorites www.meteorites.cl) used to have some nice pictures of a sliced olivine cluster from a Vaca Muerta.  Unfortunately, I couldn't find any of these pictures still on his site.

I did find one picture here: http://www.imca.cc/insights/2008/IMCA-Insights03.htm

Thanks for sharing,
Phil

nice, the piece i have is small but i'm still tempted to cut a couple of thin slices, the xtals appear clear by reflection, right cut and right thickness might look pretty good. don
